Marci was raised in Bettendorf, Iowa. The gloomy winters inspired her family to move to Mesa, Arizona, where she finished high school. She went on to Arizona State University, working her way through college at J.C. Penney. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, J.C. Penney management approached Marci about joining their management team. The decision turned out to be life impacting, especially when Tom Valicenti, Rolf’s salesman extraordinaire, came to call. In a nutshell, Tom sold his ’entire line’ to Marci and they were married two years later.

Four years later, together with a 5 month old son, two dogs and a cat, Marci and Tom decided it was time to leave Sun Devil country and head to the mountains. Once in Steamboat, Marci worked part-time for Mattie Silks, a fine dining restaurant and dabbled as Tom's assistant in real estate. In 1993, daughter Christi was born and Tom’s real estate business was flourishing. At this time, Marci exited the restaurant scene with her available time spent assisting Tom and his real estate business.

In 2001, when both children were in school, timing was right for Marci to become a broker and team with her husband. Together with Tom, they have built some extraordinary high-end homes with Marci heading up the interior design.

In her free time, Marci enjoys tennis and golf. She is Vice President of the Steamboat Tennis Association and a captain of a USTA tennis team. She is active within the Steamboat school district, volunteering her time through the Athletic Department for the high school teams and also serving as the Fundraising Chairman for the After-Prom Party. Marci also co-founded ’Support the Troops’ a charitable organization under the umbrella of the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. Since 2002 she has helped raise monetary and tangible donations for items being sent to American military stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Marci and Tom value the real estate relationships they have made. Knowing that there are many brokers from which to choose, they believe in providing the best client service possible. Having realized their own goal of living and investing in Steamboat, it gives them great satisfaction to help someone else grasp the same dream.
