As a native and life-long resident of Colorado, Stephan has seen the tremendous growth the state has experienced over the past 40 years.

In 1979, Stephan graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Business Administration. He went on to earn his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. After earning this degree, Stephan moved back to Colorado and started a successful small package delivery company in Denver. The company had offices throughout the front-range of Colorado and employed over 60 people. The company was sold in 2000.

Along with his real estate career, Stephan is a developer of high-end real estate projects in the Steamboat area. He recently completed a multi-million dollar triplex project near the Sheraton Golf Course and has built single-family custom homes in the valley. He recently formed a development company, Zephyr Real Estate LLC, with his business partner, Ted Hoffman.

Stephan also devotes time to the community, as Treasurer of the newly formed Steamboat Art Museum (www.steamboatartmuseum.com).

Stephan has owned a second home in Steamboat since 1996. Since selling his company in Denver, he has made Steamboat his home.
